The word of God abides in the saints now, and we can inherit the kingdom of God by obeying righteousness. Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost., John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him., 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever., We are not saved by the works of righteousness that we do, but we do them because we love God and desire to serve him and to please him. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them., The righteousness of God is in Christ Jesus, and we can follow after righteousness in the new man by obeying the commandments of Jesus.
