The Red Sea Destruction: The Forgotten Judgments of God

Exodus 14:27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea., The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth, and the destruction at the Red sea is one of these famous judgments. However, men forget the work of God and his powerful judgments. There are people in this world who forget purpose of the judgment of God and say that the God of the old testament is evil and hateful. The TRUTH is that the judgments of God are true and righteous. Evil is judged righteously. Psalm 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether., Psalms 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth., The judgment of God can be so evident in the earth, yet men want to forget it. They begin to lust after evil things and do not want the knowledge of God according to scripture. Psalm 106:11-14, 11 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left. 12 Then believed they his words; they sang his praise. (Read Exodus 15) 13 They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel: 14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. The Lord executes judgment so his name is declared throughout all the earth. God is terrible, and men ought to fear his judgments and not forget them. Rahab is a good example of this. Joshua 2:10-11, 10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. 11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
